As part of the F1 Singapore GP Season in Sept 2008, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) will be organizing an inaugural Singapore River Festival (SRF). For the SRF, STB wanted a spectacular event at the Singapore River that would be spectacular and newsworthy.
Presented by Central, Concept:Magic will be producing a new mega illusion "The Impossible Journey", which Channel News Asia has called "South East Asia's Biggest Magic Event".
On 24 Sept 2009, Mega Illusionist, J C Sum & Magic Babe', Ning will attempt to teleport 3 spectators across the Singapore River in 2.5 seconds!
The starting point of "The Impossible Journey" will be 3 separate teleportation chambers, each on see-through platform, atop a see-through stage at the Central river promenade.
The entire stage and teleportation chambers will be surrounded by a ring of spectators. The destination across the Singapore River will be the Read Bridge almost 250m away. This is the large pedestrian bridge than connects Clarke Quay with Merchant Court Hotel/ Riverside Point.
The 3 lucky spectators who will be teleported across the River will be shoppers from Central. To find out how you can be one of the lucky three people, visit Central's website here.
